What is the role of VCS Denmark in the project?

VCS Denmark is one of the Denmark’s largest water and wastewater companies and it is owned by Odense and Nordfyn Municipality. Its international profile allows them to support other utilities and consultants and also being member of important associations (Danish Water and Waste Water Association, Water Research Foundation of USA or the International Water Association).

VCS Denmark’s has extensive experience in efficient and energy-saving operation of water infrastructures and has also incorporated climate adaptation to their activities in recent years.

At LIFE Reseau, VCS Denmark will implement the retrofitting solution in Søndersø (Denmark) where a Membrane Aerated Biofilm Reactor (MABR) and a Stormwater Treatment Module (SWTM) will be deployed into the existing CAS WWTP. Moreover, its sewer network will be monitored by existing sensors that will feed the SiiMS platform.
