ITG, Aqualia, and VCS Denmark, the three entities that are part of the LIFE RESEAU consoritum, have just held one of their regular meetings at the water management company’s headquarters, in Vigo. The main objective has been to review the status of the actions carried out during the last 6 months, as well as study the next steps to continue implementing the project roadmap.
The meeting took place on December 4th, and included a visit to the Aqualia facilities, during which ITG and VCS Denmark had the opportunity to learn more about the activity of the company, as well as get to know other initiatives of interest that they carry out by Aqualia, which are also related with the governance of the water cycle.
Visit to the pilot of the Moaña WWTP
The proximity between Aqualia’s headquarters and the Moaña Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) (Pontevedra), where LIFE RESEAU has just launched a pilot project, allowed representatives of the three entities to also visit these facilities.
Specifically, the pilot involves, on the one hand, the design and integration of a 500 m³ AGS reactor and 2,500 m³ tanks, to increase the capacity of the WWTP by up to 400% (2,000 m³/d). On the other hand, the inclusion of 25-30 sensors in the RSU for the identification of infiltrations and priority areas of intervention, as well as the monitoring of network dynamics and validation of the models.
