The LIFE RESEAU project actively participated in a session organised by the ITG technology centre as part of the EU Green Week, a flagship European event focused on environmental sustainability. The session, centred on the digitalisation of the urban water cycle and urban resilience, brought together key stakeholders from the sector to discuss and exchange experiences in water innovation.
The session addressed the challenges faced by small municipalities in optimising water management, highlighting solutions such as the use of digital tools, technologies for detecting and eliminating infiltration in sewer networks, and more efficient and sustainable wastewater treatment systems, including Nature-Based Solutions (NBS).
During the event, technologies developed within the LIFE RESEAU project were presented, alongside related initiatives such as D4RUNOFF, Saneplan+, and INNO4H2O, all of which share common goals in terms of efficiency, sustainability, and climate change adaptation in water management.
The session featured contributions from both public and private organisations, including Aguas de Galicia, Aqualia, Klink Srl, and CDTI, as well as representatives from the projects. The event served to highlight the role of digitalisation as a key driver for more resilient and efficient water management.
