ITG technology center took part in the International Conference on Distributed Computing and Artificial Intelligence (DCAI 2025), where key progress on the LIFE RESEAU project was presented. Miriam Timiraos Díaz shared the latest findings on modelling techniques to enhance the efficiency of urban wastewater networks.
By combining real-time sensor data with historical records, the team has developed a solution capable of predicting wastewater pumping station levels up to six hours in advance. This early forecasting capability enables preventive decision-making, reducing the risk of overflows and strengthening the resilience of urban infrastructure against extreme weather events.
These results reflect the successful collaboration between ITG, Aqualia, and VCS Denmark, and underline our commitment to smart water management. Events like this are vital for promoting knowledge exchange and sustainability, best practices at an international level.
